I graduated high school from Humphreys Academy in 1983.  I attended Mississippi Delta Community College my freshman year of college.  I then moved to Hinds Community College for my sophomore year.  I finished my B.S. degree in Special Education from Mississippi State University in 1987.

This is my 29th year of teaching special education.  I have spent most of my career working with elementary students.  This is my 1st year to teach in high school.

A little about myself.  I was raised in Belzoni, MS.  This is considered the heart of the delta.  My dad was a farmer and my mom worked at the bank off and on.  I have  one younger sister.  We grew up in the country.  I enjoyed cheerleading and dance.  I continued to dance through out my freshman and sophomore years.  I later married and had 3 awesome children! I remarried in December 2016.  My husband has lived in Desoto County for about 20 years.  Funny story he too is from Belzoni and was a grade ahead of me at Humphreys Academy.  This was a very small school we knew everybody.  So 33 years later we reconnected on Facebook!  Now we have been married for almost a year this coming December.  My children are now somewhat grown.  The oldest is 26, she just got married in June of this year.  They live in Jackson Ms. where she works for her aunt and uncle.  Her husband is in banking.  My middle child is living in New Jersey! Too far from home!  She is 22 and is working for a country club there in Riverside.  My youngest just graduated from high school in Madison, Ms. where he attended Madison Central High School.  He is now attending Holmes Community College pursuing a degree in electrical engineering.  I'm very family oriented and have had a hard time adjusting being away from all my family.
