Hello!  My name is Preston Tilghman and this is my sixth year teaching at Southaven High School!

I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from Mississippi State University in 2013, and received my M.Ed from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2014.  I love teaching World History and I love to travel.  I use stories to tell my students about the past and love hearing and teaching about new perspectives on different events and places in history.

I also sponsor the Knowledge Bowl Team here at Southaven High School!  If you are not sure what Knowledge Bowl is, think of it as competitive trivia!  We have fun attending different tournaments in northern MS and locally, and it is a wonderful way for students to make new friends and grow academically!  If you are interested in Knowledge Bowl, stop by my classroom!
