Hello,
My name is Cynthia M. King. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development, 1-8 grade; Concentration, Education in 2000, from the Unversity of Memphis. After teaching one year in 1st grade, I recieved a endorsement in Special Education, U of Memphis. I then pursued a Master of Science degree in Curriculum Instruction and Leadership, Concentration, Special Education (2004). In 2010 I received an Masters in Poiicies and Studies, Concentration, School Adminstration and Leadership. i received a endorsement in 2005 in Literacy, K-6.
Experience
I am presently in my 18th year of teaching. I've taught in all grade levels, K-12 during my career. My first teaching assignment was in Memphis City School System. I taught first grade, then was assigned the followiing school year to teach Self contained (EMD). I remainedin self-contained about 7 years of my career. in 2008-09 school year in the Fayette County Schools, I was assigned to teach Inclusion and serve as department Chair until upon leaving the school district in 2016. I present teach Mississippi Occupatinal Diploma (MOD) classes, at Southaven High School, in Desoto County Schools. This is my 3rd year serving in DCS district.
