About the teacher:
Hi! My name is Baylee Rownd, and I currently teach special education. I am an SHS alum. After I
graduated in 2018, I then went on to earn my Bachelor of Science in
Psychology from Mississippi State University. After my undergraduate
studies, I worked for two non-profit organizations. First I worked in
social work as a clinical assistant, then in applied behavior analysis
as a Registered Behavior Technician. During that time, I gained skills
in working with children with developmental disabilities and behavioral
disorders. This experience led me back to SHS after receiving my
alternate teaching license. I am currently working on my Master of Arts in Teaching at Mississippi State University.
When I am not teaching, I am at home with my partner, Parker, and our two cats, (Tommy and Finn), our lizard (Bjerg), and our frog (Freud). I am so glad to be back at SHS! Go Chargers!
