Hello Students and Parents!

I grew up in Memphis and attended Shelby County Schools until my 9th grade year when I began attending DeSoto County Schools. I attended Olive Branch High (for 2 years) and then Hernando High (for 2 years), where I then graduated in 2005.

I began college at Northwest Community College in Southaven. I finished up my college career at the University of Mississippi! HOTTY TODDY! I have my degree in Secondary Education and I am certified to teach Social Studies and Special Education.

When I was younger I worked a few summers at Camp Bratton Green in Canton, Mississippi as a camp counselor over the younger kids. As I grew up, I knew I wanted to work with children!

When I began my time at the University of Mississippi I was a student teacher at two different schools within DeSoto county : Southaven High & Lewisburg Middle.

A little about me...

I am a mother to a beautiful daughter. She is my inspiration and my light. I am excited to be teaching Social Studies; it is something I have always wanted to do. My junior U.S. History teacher in high school was the one who inspired me to become a teacher. She made history an interesting story rather than a ton of facts. The next school year I attended the 2005 Inaguration of President Bush in Washington, D.C. with my fellow classmates. I will never forget that experience. It further affirmed for me that I wanted a career in education and teaching history.

I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time with family. If you were to ask anyone what my favorite thing is.... it is anything DISNEY!
